The skill that helped me create systems for universities managing hundreds of millions? It’s the same skill that helps me see why a capable woman freezes when pricing her coaching packages or feels uncertain about her business finances. Pattern recognition became my superpower. Not just managing money, but seeing what others couldn’t see. Understanding the tangles that keep capable women stuck.
This led me to create an innovative shared services model that transformed an entire university, was adopted institution-wide, replicated by approximately a dozen universities nationwide, and eventually published as an industry case study.
The Journey That Built This Work
Early Career
Implemented transformative billing systems at midcap contractor. Oversaw budgets and managed administrative and accounting teams with Fortune 500 company.
The Shift
Started at a major university, saw where things were headed. Went back to school, stopped, started again, stopped again, then finally completed BS in Business Administration, then MBA focused on Entrepreneurship. All to stay relevant, provide for my family, and set an example for my kids and my team.
Innovation
Pioneered a shared services model that was adopted institution-wide and replicated by approximately 12 universities nationwide. Published as industry case study.
Leadership
Director of University Budget Operations, managing $550 million budget. Oversaw budget development, forecasting, and strategic resource allocation for the entire institution.
Now
Retired at 57 to start something new. Now helping midlife women entrepreneurs untangle their financial chaos and uncertainty, bringing the same pattern recognition that built systems for universities to their personal and business finances so they have more clarity and confidence.
